Boo! A tale of my first trick or treating experience!

Mommy and Daddy got me all dressed up again last night and took me trick or treating. We first went to eat pizza on Grandma Fischer's tab (thanks!!!) and then went to find some houses that were giving away good grub. The first neighborhood we went in was pretty bare, but we found a nice lady who called us over and let me pick out whatever candy I wanted. It was great. We went to a second neighborhood and again they only had a few houses. Mommy said that trick or treating must have been more popular when she was a kid....and then that made her feel old. I got quite a bit of candy in that neighborhood. Finally, we went to visit Eli, Bella and Charis. Bella gave me TONS of candy. She even let me eat a few pieces! It was yummy! Then I went over to mawmaw and pawpaw's house and stayed with them while Mommy and Daddy went out.
Here are my trick or treating pictures.

I was looking to cause some mischief.

Daddy finally had to corral me.

mmmmmmm. tinfoil.

diggin'

I love suckers.

Well, that is really all I would cooperate for. The only time I sat still is when I got to sit on the hay. I'll turn the keyboard over to Mommy, now.

Hey guys! Last night Alex and I dressed up as Michael Vick and one of his dogs. We both thought at first that it would be a pretty original costume, but then we found out that they were actually selling the costume online. The pre-made one wasn't nearly as good as ours though. Alex turned into a black man last night, which was rather odd. It's a feeling all it's own to not recognize a 6'6 man with glowing blue eyes and SUPER white teeth walking towards you. Our goal was to enter in and win a few costume contests....but we ended up missing them. Oh well. We had fun anyway. The people with us are our friends Dan and Julie.

Best part about the night was that Alex found out that Club Shakers had agreed to hold a weekly open mic. Viva la Comedy in Lafayette!! Keep your fingers crossed that nothing falls through. If everything goes as planned, the show will start on Wednesday, Nov. 13!

Anyway, here are some pictures. I selected the most appropriate....as you can see, there weren't many. :)

Enjoy.

Pumpkin Carving!

Even though we bought our punkin when Grandma was in town, we just carved it tonight. It was the first time me AND Daddy had carved punkins. I really liked to play with the guts, but I quickly lost interest after that and left the actual carving to Mommy and Daddy. I did like to get all bundled up and sit with my punkin afterwards. It looks spoooooooky!

Other than punkin carving, we haven't been doing much. Daddy has been playing a lot of golf, and considering he's in a pretty good mood when he gets home, I think he's doing pretty well. Mommy has been knitting up a storm and said if she has time she will knit me some slippers. Yay!

Here are the pictures from our first family punkin carving. Excuse my immodest clothing. Mommy said she wanted me just in my undies so I wouldn't ruin anything.*shrug*

Enjoy! and I hope you all have something fun planned for Halloween, I know I do. :)

Here I am playing in the guts!

Daddy looked like he needed help scooping the guts out!

Daddy decided to go shirtless too....punkin gets messy!

The punkin is finally starting to look like a jack-o-lantern!

It took Mommy a long time to get me to sit here like this. Believe me.

Isn't our jack-o-lantern cute? I love him.

Laundry Day

Mommy taught me to put my clothes in the laundry basket....when I was finished, I thought I would get a head start on getting the clothes that I was wearing in the basket.

My mommy has been busy! But she finally found some time to post some pictures!

Hey, Calvin here. I just wanted to update you a little bit on my life. I've been having the best time now that I'm walking. I get to do fun things like hide Mommy's keys and Daddy's wallet. I especially like to do that right before we have to leave. Mommy figured out that if she puts a leash on me, that I can't run off. So guess what I get to wear when we're outside and I'm not in the stroller!

Daddy has been really busy getting ready for his big test, but I'm sure he'll do great. Daddy is so smart. Mommy said that we're going to get margaritas tomorrow if Daddy does well. I think they are more excited about that than I am.

The Lafayette Library Book Sale is tomorrow night. We're going to meet MawMaw and PawPaw Stanford and my cousins. Hopefully Mommy gets me a couple books that I can pull off my shelf and throw on the floor. I really don't get to do that as often as I would like.

Other than that, not a whole lot else is going on. Mommy has been getting ready for Grandma Fischer to come down. We're going to have a lot of fun when she is down here. Maybe I can talk her into buying me a couple toys *wink wink*

Camping in Arkansas

Well, we're back from our first camping trip as a family of three...well, we were back a few days ago, but I've been busy.

Camping was a blast...well, when Calvin wasn't scared of sleeping in the tent by himself. We finally had to sleep in the tent with him whenever he would take a nap...which wasn't necessarily bad, we needed the naps as well :)

We did a lot of hiking, and saw some beautiful mountains. It was nice to just have the weekend to relax and not have to think about anything but my precious family.

Calvin is walking SO much right now, it seems like something just clicked in his head the last few days that says it's ok for him to let go of the furniture.

now for the pictures that everyone has been requesting :) Sorry for the delays.

Here's Calvin, sitting back having a milk.

We were going to leave Calvin's bed outside...but we figured we would give him a little shelter.

Calvin got a little creative while making smores :)

That cookie was AWESOME!

4th of July!

Yesterday was so much fun. I went over to Aunt Angelina and Uncle Bill's house and played with Eli, Bella and Charis. We had chicken tacos and tons of side dishes. Aunt Angelina made homemade ice cream...it was soooooo yummy. I ate most of mommy's, some of daddy's and a good portion of Bella's. :)

After we left their house, we met some of mommy and daddy's friends and my friend Eryn for fireworks. I wasn't quite sure what they were, but boy! when they first started...it was the most amazing thing I've ever seen! They had a zydeco band and I chanka-chanked my way through the night. It was a little wet, so I got my knees and booty all wet but I didn't mind.

Here are some pictures of the festivities:

Here is Daddy carrying me on his shoulders before the fireworks started. We were dancing!

Me playing with the grass.

I was trying to eat Mommy's camera.

Me chanka-chanking! I love to dance. I'm teething, so don't mind the drooly shirt.

I like to make funny faces for momma when she takes pictures of me.

Here is me watching the fireworks. I was so perplexed and amazed at the same time! They were so pretty...and so loud!

Hope everyone else had a nice holiday!

Calvin's first salon haircut

My hair was getting shaggy again so Mommy and Daddy decided to take me to a salon to get it cut...probably because I wouldn't hold still when they tried to do it. The lady was really nice, she squirted my hair and then she squirted me in the mouth...which was really funny. It tickled. Then she gave me the squirt bottle to play with and I squirted mommy. She put this little cape with animals on it over me and told me to sit very still. I just sat there and chewed on the squirt bottle until she was done...she even used the clippers on me. I'm such a big boy.

Here I am showing off my new "do"...

Mommy says I look really old in this one.

RAWR! I roared at mommy because she was taking too many pictures of me and not letting me play. Do you like my new puzzle that I'm sitting on? Mommy and Daddy bought it for me for my birthday.
